Your limits
Boundaries you set. Controls it can't override.
Every position passes through six layers of control, from whether to trade at all to your own instant stop. Here's how each works — and what no control can remove.
What you can set
Your risk envelope.
These are the real ranges the platform accepts, and the starting point every new account gets. Change them any time; new limits apply to new positions.
- Risk per trade decides the loss if a stop is hit
- The leverage cap applies to every position
- After the daily loss limit, nothing new opens until 00:00 UTC
The six control layers
- Layer 1
Only when enough agrees
It trades only when enough independent intelligence lines up and the profit after costs is worth it. Otherwise, it waits.
- Layer 2
Sized from the stop
Size follows the distance to the stop and the risk you allow per trade — never a profit target.
- Layer 3
Protected at the exchange
A protective stop is placed with every entry. If it can't be, the position is closed.
- Layer 4
Your limits
Your risk per trade, leverage cap, positions, daily loss limit and direction.
- Layer 5
Hard risk limits
Loss limits and an emergency stop that sit outside the strategy. They always win.
- Layer 6
You, at any moment
Pause stops new entries in that mode. Stop closes that mode's positions: simulated positions in Simulation, and positions PERP KING opened in LIVE.
What remains
Risks no control can remove.
These controls reduce some risks. They don't eliminate any of them. Leveraged derivatives can lose all capital committed, quickly.
Leverage & liquidation
Leverage magnifies gains and losses. A small adverse move can liquidate the margin posted.
Volatility & gaps
Prices can move sharply, including through stops. Stops can fill worse than set.
Model risk
Any trading logic can be wrong, or stop working when markets change.
Technology risk
Defects, outages or exchange incidents can delay or prevent actions.
Exchange risk
Your funds sit at your exchange. Its failures, suspensions or rule changes affect you.
Costs
Fees, funding and slippage reduce returns and can turn a winning idea into a loss.
Simulation risk
Simulated results are hypothetical: no funding, fills at the current price with estimated costs.
Regulatory risk
Crypto derivatives are restricted in some places, and rules change.
