Profit and loss on a linear contract
A long result is the exit price minus the entry price, times quantity. A short result is the entry price minus the exit price, times quantity.
Method
The contract is linear: quantity is in the base asset and price is in the quote. This is not an inverse or coin-margined contract. Kraken's multi-collateral wallet can settle and convert collateral in ways this multiplication does not include.

- Fees and funding are excluded. Use those calculators if you want to subtract them yourself.
- A positive result is not a promise that a live fill would match it.
