Pause, Resume and Stop
These controls belong to you. They do not depend on whether the strategy wants another trade. LIVE and Simulation each have their own.
What each word means

You cannot pause a mode that is not running, and you cannot resume a mode that is not paused. Starting LIVE while it is already running or paused is refused until it is stopped.
LIVE Stop is a flatten of our positions
Stop sets LIVE to stopped and sends reduce-only market orders for positions PERP KING opened. It does not cancel your manual trading, and it does not close a position that was already on the account when LIVE started.
The protective stop on an open LIVE position is a different object: an order resting at the connected exchange for that position. Pause does not remove it. Stop closes the position, which is what makes that stop unnecessary. See protective stops.
Other reasons new entries stop
- The daily loss limit. New entries in that mode wait until 00:00 UTC. Open positions are still managed. This is not the same as pressing Pause, and it clears with the UTC day rather than with Resume.
- Stale or missing market data. LIVE does not open from it. Stops already accepted by the exchange remain at that exchange.
- Removing the trade key. Refused while LIVE positions PERP KING opened are still open. Stop first.
None of these controls raise size or loosen a limit to catch up.
Questions
Does Pause close my position?
No. Pause blocks new entries in that mode. The positions already open in that mode continue to be managed.
Does LIVE Stop close everything on my exchange account?
No. It closes positions PERP KING opened. Positions you opened yourself stay.
